Back to Basics: Everyday Contouring & Highlighting

Contour & Highlight

For those of us who were not blessed with beautifully angled faces, contouring and highlighting can make a huge difference in our appearance.  As I instructed in this in depth video, this technique helps you slim down those cheeks, straighten your nose, and shrink your forehead.  While I think this extremely detailed way of contouring and highlighting is effective and gorgeous, it can be too time-consuming to use on an everyday basis.  So in this tutorial, I’ll teach you how I shape my face each day with minimal impact on the time it takes to complete my makeup routine.

On me:
Muse Laser Cut Girly Dress
OPI Nail Polish (Barre My Soul)

While it might seem like a time consuming process, keep these few things in mind.
1.  It takes me much longer to do my makeup on camera than it does when I’m just in my bathroom listening to Harry Potter audiobooks.  #nerdalert
2.  It might take you time to adjust and perfect this routine, but once you do, I promise it will only take a few extra minutes of your time.
3.  If you’re really pressed for time, you can skip the step where I contour with the dark concealer and go straight to the bronzer.  I just prefer the way they look together.

Do you like my other makeup in this tutorial??  Don’t worry, I’ll be putting up a tutorial tomorrow for this pretty smoky eye!

Best & Blessings,
