You’ve got a fun night out planned with the girls, a date, or a formal event to attend.  But what on earth are you supposed to do with this mop on your head?!  I know that each and every one of you has been there.  I certainly know that I have.  As someone who frequently curls my hair, throwing a few curls in there just doesn’t seem to be good enough for a special occasion when I do that to go grocery shopping.  However, updos can seem SO overwhelming and intimidating.  All of the stars seem to pull off a messy bun with such effortlessness and elegance, but when you try it, it ends up looking like you’re ready for the gym rather than the red carpet.  Well, I’ve got your solution!  This easy, fishtail updo will have you looking red-carpet-worthy in just a few minutes.

This Pinterest-inpsired ‘do has been a recent favorite of mine.  Perfect for second or third day hair!  It gets it off your face and looking fab with very little effort.  The curls add some volume and dimension to the ponytail, which keep the style from looking too tight and harsh, and the fishtail braid is a great way to update a classic bun.  Just watch the video below for an easy, step-by-step tutorial!
