Exodus 14:14 | Daily Bible Week 4

How did y’all do with your reading this week?  I’m not going to lie, it was another bad one for me.  I did most of this week’s reading today, but I’m all caught up now!! I really am so happy that I’ve got you on this journey with me.  It keeps me accountable.  Even though I didn’t keep up this week, I knew that I would have to catch up in order to do today’s post.  So thank you for keeping me on track!

I always love reading about Moses and the exodus from Egypt.  I find it so intriguing, and the wonder of God’s power and will really is amazing.  If you’ve been keeping up with this blog, you’ll know that Kyle and I are coming out of our own dark time, and it’s been incredible these past few weeks to see all that God is doing to lead us into the promised land of better times. Honestly, I feel a bit like one of the Israelites.  I knew without a doubt that God would redeem our situation and set us free, but there were many, many setbacks along the way.  However, now that He has slowly been revealing His plan to us for our future, I can see just how true these words are.

Exodus 14 14

“Do not be afraid.  Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. … The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still.” -Exodus 14: 13-14

Of course, it’s a lot easier to really feel the truth of these words now that we’re on the last leg of our journey out of the darkness, but for nearly two years we just had to rely on the promise that they hold.  Although if it were easy, it wouldn’t be called faith.  Right?  If you’re struggling through a tough time, just remember to be still and keep the faith.  The Lord will fight for you!

Best & Blessings,
Rachel
