Happy Hair Tutorial!  This past weekend, I got tons of comments on my hair, so I figured I would make a tutorial for a Sock Bun!  This elegant style is so simple and easy to do, and appropriate for just about any occasion.  Paired with a cocktail dress and some great accessories, it’s a perfect hairstyle for attending a wedding.  On a hot summer day paired with a tank top and cutoffs, it’s a fun way to get your hair out of your face and off your back.  If your hair is shoulder length or longer, this style is for you and is sure to become one of your favorites.

I also mentioned that you can buy pre-made sock bun donuts in a drugstore, but using a sock is cheaper and you already have all the tools in your home.  I promise it’s not as weird as it sounds once you’re actually working with it in your hair (as long as it’s a clean sock).  I keep mine rolled up into the donuts, and I honestly don’t remember that it’s a sock until I have tell someone and they immediately say, “There’s a SOCK in your hair?”  And I always get a kick out of that! 🙂

Side view.  My hair had been like this all day, so I apologize for the baby hairs falling down in back.  Obviously you can spray those puppies into place!

So easy and elegant!! The best part is that it turns out perfect every time!!

Once you’ve done your sock bun, you can place a few bobby pins in there if you need to, but they are not necessary for this hair style.  It’s another reason I love doing this–no bobby pins required, but it stays in place ALL day!
