Urban Decay Smoked Palette: Enigma Tutorial

Enigma (en.ig.ma [ɪˈnɪgmə] n) One that is mysterious, ambiguous, or inexplicable.

This look will definitely help you to live up to the name.  Upon studying the drawing in the Urban Decay Smoked Lookbook, I must admit that I was frightened.  Purple hugged by green—bright, loud, and funky.  Not usually what I’m going for when I get ready.  Of course, I should’ve known better and trusted in my beloved Smoked Palette.  The Rockstar and Loaded are not nearly as intensely bright as they appear in the picture.  Instead the deep, rich shades create this mysterious smoky eye that looks fairly traditional at first glance, but gives you a hint of unexpected fun when your eyes are closed.

When my eyes are closed, you can really see the Rockstar!! These two colors look amazingly good together.  Loaded hardly reads green at all because it’s so dark!

Absolutely loving my Smoked Palette!! Have you bought yours yet?  If not, you need to.

My OOTD to go along with my Enigma.  I figured I’d play up the green in my smoky eye with my new green jeggings.  I kept the top neutral because I really had no idea how bright the look was going to turn out. Follow me on Instagram @glowofgrace to get more picture updates before I post them here!

I can’t believe it, but we’re quickly coming to the end of our Smoked Lookbook!!
