This is the perfect date night look because it plays up your eyes without being too over the top. I think it’s so important to keep your makeup somewhat subtle for a date. You obviously want to feel and look gorgeous, but a large part of that is feeling comfortable in your own skin. Most people don’t wear oodles of makeup on a day to day basis, so why would you represent yourself that way on a date? For one, most guys I’ve known prefer women with less makeup. And secondly, unless you normally go ALL OUT with your makeup, suddenly piling it on can make you feel self conscious or uncomfortable at a time that might already have you feeling a little jittery.
Now that you’ve got your makeup covered, let’s move on to an outfit. Much the same as with your makeup, in order to look your best, you have to feel your best. If you’re not a dress or skirt kind of girl, wear a pair of skinnies with a cute top and flats or heels. On the flip side, you could wear a skirt or dress with tights and boots. Either way you go, remember this simple rule. Showcase your best feature and keep the rest covered up. If you wear a low cut top, keep those legs covered!! If you want to show off those amazingly toned legs from hours of Blogilates, be sure to wear a modest top or a cute blazer. Keep him guessing by keeping it classy, ladies!
Flash forward to the big date!! You’re all dressed up and looking fabulous, now all that’s left is to charm him with your wonderful personality. Just remember to BE YOURSELF!! There’s no need to try to be perfect or put pressure on yourself to be who you think he wants you to be. He did ask you out, so you must be doing something right! Plus it will help make the date a whole lot more comfortable for both of you. All that’s left is to have fun!
Did you enjoy this tutorial? In case you were wondering, the gorgeous song in the background is a cover of Robyn’s “Hang With Me” by my friend Kristen Dela Cruz. She and I met in our high school choir way back when. She is so amazingly talented, so check out her YouTube Channel to hear more of her music.
