How to: Get Ready In a Hurry

Before & After

This post is dedicated to that moment when you look at the clock and realize that you’ve only got 15 minutes to get your butt out the door.  If you’re anything like me (Type A, and ever so slightly OCD), then that moment causes sheer panic.  If I didn’t have this routine to fall back on, I’d probably start running around all haphazard, wasting time freaking out instead of just getting down to business.  Let me show you how I keep that from happening!

In A Hurry
If you’re not well practiced with a curling iron and the thought of standing there like this when you’re already running behind makes you sweat, then throw your hair in a cute and easy sock bun!  You don’t have to take any part of this tutorial literally, but adapt it to fit your own style and personal preferences.  The key is to look polished and put together in a short amount of time, and this is just what works for me.

OOTD
As for the outfit, now is NOT the time to try to recreate something you saw on Pinterest.  Stick with what you know, and again, adapt it your situation.  The night I was running late (aka the night that inspired this tutorial), I was hurrying off to choir practice, so I didn’t need to be super dressed up.  Whether you need to be work appropriate or comfy casual, keep the outfit simple.  Spice it up with a scarf or statement necklace, and a cute pair of shoes.  These quick accessories will bring a lot to your outfit and make you look and feel more put together.

I hope y’all find this tutorial to be helpful!  Next time you’re in a hurry, just keep calm and remember that a few simple touch ups that will make you look as though you took your time.

Best & Blessings,
