Easy Spring Makeup | Pink & Luminous

Easy Spring Makeup | Pink & Luminous

As the weather gets warm and Spring arrives, I like to lighten up my makeup.  For one thing, a lot of makeup in warm weather usually makes for a melty face.  Not a good look for anyone!  Plus you want to look natural, healthy, and fresh, so today I’ll be showing you a great way to achieve that look.  This pink and luminous look will definitely be my FOTD (face of the day) for Easter!

Easy Spring Makeup | Pink & Luminous

The pinks warm up the face nicely and the cream highlighter gives you that amazing dewy glow.  For this look, you’ll want to use a pigmented, bright pink as your main lid color.  Using your favorite blush for that is a great way to get creative with your makeup!  Although I didn’t do it, you could absolutely use that same blush on your cheeks, which would tie the look together nicely.  Just be sure to pack it on your lids for a more pigmented effect, and swirl it lightly across your cheeks for a natural-looking flush.  I chose a pinky, cream highlighter to create this look because it makes for a softer, more luminous glow than a brighter white or darker bronze highlighter would.   You don’t want to appear shimmery or glittery, but you want that natural dewy finish to really complete this look.

If you feel comfortable with it, skip the foundation and just use a little concealer and a moisturizer.  The more natural your skin looks, the better!!  My skin is kind of freaking out right now, so I needed foundation, but I chose one that leaves my skin feeling and looking natural.  You don’t want to pair this look with a really matte foundation because it will take away from the healthy glow you’re trying to achieve.  If you’ve got oily skin, stick with a normal foundation and then just set it with a mattifying powder.  It will absorb oil, but keep you looking fresh and youthful.

I hope y’all have enjoyed this look!  Happy Easter and enjoy the start of Spring!

Best & Blessings,
