Review & Swatches | New Physician’s Formula Products

Happy Friday, friends!  I’ve got a quick little review and swatches to share with you this evening.  Physician’s Formula came out with a bunch of new products for the new year, including a Nude Wear line and new additions to the Sexy Booster liner.  Physician’s Formula is one of my favorite drugstore brands, and I have yet to try something from them that I don’t like.

Nude Wear Glowing Nude Bronzer (Light) – $14.95

This bronzer is a really nice way to warm up your cheeks or your face.  The four different shades can be worn individually or swirled together for a subtle, mid-toned bronze.  The formula is nice and creamy with only a small amount of fallout, and has great pigmentation.  It does have a slight shimmer, so it wouldn’t work well for contouring, but I’ve been enjoying this swept along the cheekbones for a natural glow.  The packaging is pretty albeit a little bulky, and I personally think that $15 is really pushing it for a drugstore product.  However, the product itself if quite nice and has been a favorite of mine recently.  To see it in action, check out my most recent Wednesday Wows and my Get Ready With Me video that went up last night.

Sexy Booster Oh So Sexy Eye Shadow Quad – $ 10.95

This quad is a gorgeous collection of neutral, shimmery shadows and is an excellent addition to any collection.  As per PF usual, the formula is satiny, buttery and beautiful with great pigmentation.  The selection of colors is nice and will allow for a variety of looks, ranging from natural daytime to smoky evening.  Again I think the packaging is a little bulky (this palette is about twice the thickness of their Nude Shimmer Strips palette), but at least the extra space is used to house a mirror.  This is priced more competitively, but is still a little high compared to other drugstore brands. Overall, I really like this quad and find it easy to reach for on a daily basis.

Have you tried either of these new products?  Let me know in the comments below!  I’m also trying out the new Sexy Booster Ooh La La Sexy Eyes Trio and the Va Va Voom Volume Mascara, so stay tuned for another review and possibly a first impression of the mascara!

Best & Blessings,
Rachel
